Challenge

We journeyed into the heart of the Amazon rainforest with Alper Rende to document the shaving traditions of the Waorani tribe. By contrasting their ancient method of using sharpened seashells with the modern technology of the Philips OneBlade, we created a powerful narrative of innovation meeting tradition. This project serves as the ultimate durability test, proving that professional grooming results are achievable even in the world’s most remote environments.

Producing a professional brand film in the Amazon requires navigating extreme humidity and logistical complexity while ensuring an authentic representation of the Waorani tribe. The narrative challenge was to introduce a modern grooming tool into a primitive setting without it feeling forced, focusing instead on the universal human need for efficient and reliable tools.

Solution

Bubi utilized a documentary-style cinematic approach to capture the raw beauty of the jungle and the genuine curiosity of the tribe members. By focusing on “Wareka’s” first-hand experience with the OneBlade, we created an organic product demonstration that spoke louder than any traditional commercial script. The result is a high-impact piece of branded content that validates the OneBlade’s performance through an extreme, real-world stress test.
